KEVIN MORROW - ARTIST BIO

Award winning artist, Kevin Morrow, was born in Houston, Texas and has called Irving, Texas "home" since he was five years old. Historical influences on Kevin's artistic development are diverse and began in childhood, as his mother is a painter and an accomplished pianist. Kevin and his twin sisters inherited their mother's artistic talents in music, drawing, painting, photography and cooking.

Summers spent at the family ranch in San Antonio were an influence on Kevin's appreciation for conceptual art and found-art sculpture using "recycled treasures". Kevin sees beauty in everything, whether it is obvious or not. As you will see, everyday items often overlooked or discarded have profoundly influenced his artistic expression.

Kevin creates one-of-a-kind mosaics for gallery, home and community settings using new and recycled items from various sources. His mosaics are exhibited nationally in public, private and corporate collections. Several of which have been commissioned by private collectors.

His work recently earned several ribbons from the State Fair of Texas, one of which was for his "Artistic Outlet".

He has been a featured artist numerous times at Sonstock in Dallas, Texas as well as Mark Goad Studio in Austin, Texas and taught mosaic classes to groups of all ages.
